Girlgaze: A Frame of Mind at the Annenberg Space for Photography

This past October I was invited to participate in the Girlgaze: A Frame of Mind Photography exhibit at the Annenberg Space for Photography in LA. The exhibit runs until February 26, 2017.

#girlgaze: a frame of mind is an interactive, digitally driven exhibit for all ages that maps the imaginative landscape of young, female and trans-identifying photographers from around the world. Largely sourced through social media, the curated images’ raw vitality is their only constant – female, WOC, and trans-identifying perspectives are presented on everything from identity and standards of beauty to relationships, mental health and creativity. The exhibit at The Annenberg explores topics such as sexuality, mental illness, addiction, and the objectification of the female body.

Cinny Kennard, Executive Director at the Annenberg Foundation says of the exhibit, "#girlgaze: a frame of mind will allow us to program vibrant discussions that look at the world from a different perspective, engaging with complicated themes of identity, beauty, sexuality and culture in a manner sure to resonate with audiences of all ages and from all walks of life."
